It’s that time of year again for students at Paget Primary School who will be hosting their Third Annual Black History Musuem, on Thursday, February 27.

Classes will highlight Bermudians who have made a contribution to Bermuda.

The Multi- grade class will be feature Nurse Beverley Howell.

Bermudians featured this year include artist Sharon Wilson, former Miss World Gina Swainson, Deborah Jones Hunter, the late Frederick Wade and Roosevelt Brown, and the late Frederick ‘Penny’ Bean and others.

Students have also been learning about the work that nurses do in hospitals and with physicians in private offices and other areas, including:

  • Outpatient care facilities
  • Clinics
  • Nursing homes
  • Schools
  • Community health centers and patients home.

They also visited various Health Centres around the island.

The annual event takes place from 9am to 2pm at Paget Primary on Thursday.
