The countdown is now officially on for the team of volunteers behind an all-free event hosted for the seventh consecutive year this year on Boxing Day by Open Your Heart Foundation (OHYF).
The 2018 Boxing Day Extravaganza is all set to begin at 11am on Wednesday, December 26 at Somerset Cricket Club, featuring free food and beverages all day with a Kiddie corner for lots of fun things to do for the children.
And once again there will be barbers and hairstylists on hand to do free haircuts and braids for children and senior citizens.
There’s also a host of live performances scheduled throughout the day followed by a dance competition for young enthusiasts and gifts for children.
Organizers still need sponsors, volunteers, gift wrappers and gifts for children between the ages of 10 to 13.
Each year OYHF events on Boxing Day and Good Friday attracts record turnouts in what has become an annual mainstay up at the west end.
And once again, your support to help make this event another success this year, the call has been sent for all hands on deck to help bring support this community event designed solely to spread a little joy and spread the community holiday spirit in Bermuda.
