Skyport put residents on notice that people “will no longer be able to accompany passengers inside the terminal”, at the LF Wade International Airport, due to the current COVID-19 outbreak.

The notice was posted online yesterday, saying: “You will no longer be able to accompany passengers inside the terminal as we do our part to keep everyone safe.

“Additionally, only passengers with proof of a negative COVID-19 test will be allowed in the terminal. This only applies to those Bermuda departing passengers who require a negative test to travel to their destination.

“If you have not received your test results and the destination you are travelling to requires a negative test, you will not be able to enter until you can show proof of a negative test. We will continue to keep you update via our social media platforms and our website.”

It was also noted that the negative COVID test result “only applies to those Bermuda departing passengers who require a negative test to travel to their destination”.
