A new senator will be sworn in at Government House at 9:30 this morning to fill the seat vacated by Progressive Labour Party MP Jason Hayward.
No official word yet on who that will be. We’ll have that story later today.
Mr Hayward joined the ranks as the Member of Parliament to replace the late Walton Brown in Pembroke Central, when he won the bye-election in C17 last month.
His replacement in the Upper House will be sworn in by the Governor, John Rankin later this morning.
