Bermuda’s parliamentarians will return to the House of Assembly for the first of two special sittings on Friday, September 13 and again the following week on September 27, “to debate important legislation prior to the Convening of the Legislature in November”.
The Senate will also hold two subsequent sittings to consider the legislation.
A spokesperson also noted, as previously announced in July – Sessions House has been closed for renovations, which includes the replacement of windows and conducting health and safety upgrades to the building.
As such both Houses of the Legislature (Parliament and Senate) will meet in the temporary location of Veritas Place, Court Street. The temporary location has been prepared for the upcoming legislative sessions.
