12th annual back to school party hosted by Progressive Labour Party MP Zane DeSilva only this time it was held on the big field, “thanks to Jason Wade and his committee at Southampton Rangers Sports Club” on Thursday.
When contacted by Bermuda Real, Mr DeSilva said: “Every year is special for me and my great executive team.
“We look forward to giving the children a little something before they return to school and of course the parents, grand parents and family members also.
“We had another few hundred children participate this year. There was face painting, games, plenty of food, raffles for teachers, police bikes and just good old great times together as a community.”
He also extended special thanks to sponsors who help make this annual event an ongoing success, including ICS, BGA, Arnolds, Barritts, Butterfield and Vallis, Lindo’s, HOTT and Magic and “the one and only Glenn Blakeney”.
