Police and EMTs responded to another early morning single vehicle accident that landed a male motorcyclist in hospital with serious head and neck injuries.

When found at the scene he was lying unresponsive on the roadway.

The accident occurred near the junction of Orange Valley Road and Middle Road in Devonshire around 3:20am this morning.

A spokesman said: “EMTs attended to him at the scene and he was subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

“Details are limited at this time, but we can confirm a male motorcycle rider has been transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with a serious head injury.”

The roadway was reopened to regular traffic flow after the scene was forensically processed.

“We wish to thank the public for their patience and cooperation while the scene was being processed,” the spokesman added.
