Emergency services responded to a collision on South Road area during the early morning rush hour commute, that resulted in two people being injured.

A spokesman said: “The collision involving a bike and a car occurred at around 7:52 am in the area of South
Road near the junction with White Sands Road in Paget.
“The bike rider sustained a broken left leg and facial injuries. His pillion passenger also a male, sustained a broken left leg. The driver of the car was not hurt.
“None of the injuries are considered to be life threatening,” he added.
“The roads were closed to allow the scene to be processed by officers the police forensic support unit and traffic collision investigators with traffic out of and into the west end being diverted to Harbour Road.
“Eyewitnesses or anyone with information about this road traffic collision is asked to contact the roads policing unit on 247-1523 or the main police number 295-0011.”
