Police seized more than $80,000 in cash and illegal drugs – $38,000 dollars in cash to be exact in a joint raid at a private home in Pembroke on Monday.

A spokeswoman said a man was arrested after officers from the Tactical Operations Division supported by the Community Policing Division executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The “substantial” quantity of drugs seized have an estimated street value of $45,000.

Chief Inspector Robert Cardwell said this raid “is another example of BPS commitment to seize illicit drugs and the associated proceeds of the crime at every turn”.

“We will continue to work to bring to justice any person engaged in the sale of illicit drugs,” he said.

He also reminded the public that anyone with information that could assist should call 211 or 295-0011, or speak with an officer with whom they are familiar.
