- Following an assault at Warwick Post Office on Monday afternoon which is now under Police investigation, the Minister for the Cabinet Office the Hon. Wayne Furbert JP MP issued the following statement…
“Although this incident is indeed deeply regrettable, I am relieved to learn that no Post Office staff or customers were injured. I would also like to commend the staff members who were on duty at the time and who acted promptly and appropriately, despite being understandably shaken.
“Security is being reviewed to ensure the maximum safety of our staff and customers going forward. I would like to offer my support to the Bermuda Police Service and echo their call for any witnesses that have not already come forward – or any members of the public with relevant information – to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477 as soon as possible.”
