News Release: DEVONSHIRE, Bermuda – The Bermuda HealthCare Sir Stanley Burgess 5K Race was won by veteran runners Lamont Marshall and Gayle Lindsay. Both winners were awarded $1250 each for being the first to cross the finish line in their respective divisions. 

In addition to retaining her title, Gayle Lindsay set a new personal best time of 18.13, shaving 30 seconds off her 2023 win time.

BHCS Chairman Dr Ewart Brown commented on Gayle Lindsay’s victory: “We congratulate Gayle on retaining the first-place adult female title in record time for the third consecutive year. We wish her continued success.” Dr. Brown added: “Lamont Marshall continues to excel, and his victory today strengthens his reputation as one of Bermuda’s greatest runners. Our best wishes to him for continued success.” 

Dr Brown continued: “Bermuda HealthCare Services is committed to supporting sports throughout the community, and we are delighted to note that the number of race participants has increased throughout our three-year sponsorship.”
