News Release: Hamilton, Bermuda (October 17, 2019) – Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson is heading to Bermuda to join world champion Swedish bartender, Dosa Ivanov, in hosting a series of cocktail centred events at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club next week.
Ivanov, a Bar Manager at the Clarion Hotel Post in Gothenburg, Sweden, is visiting Bermuda for the ‘rst time to share his recipes and knowledge with local bartenders at the hotel.
His visit comes as part of Samuelsson’s commitment, following his upbringing in Sweden, to sharing a love of all Swedish. Ivanov is winner of two 2015 International Bartenders Association World Cocktail Championships, taking home the ‘rst place prize for Best Long Drink and the overall prize for World Bartender of the Year.
The weekend of festivities will kick o3 with a special Happy Hour at Marcus’ on Friday, October 25th, where guests will have the opportunity to try Ivanov’s Bermudian inspired cocktails: Bermuda Project, Pink Princess, Stairway to Rum Swizzle and Stop N’ Smell the Rosés. Each event will be accompanied by complimentary bar bites while guests kick back to the sound of the Big Chill.

For those who want a masterclass in cocktails, there will be an opportunity to learn from the Ivanov himself at a special cocktail demonstration, class and lunch on Saturday, October 26th from 12pm until 2pm. Places must be reserved and cost $95 including lunch, not including gratuities.
While wine pairing dinners are now the norm, Samuelsson and Ivanov have turned things on their head with a special cocktail pairing menu, where the dinner has been carefully crafted around the bartender’s Bermudian inspired creations. For those who prefer, there is a special juice pairing option available, which has also been carefully concocted by Ivanov for $95 plus gratuities.
For those who want to make a day of it, a bundled ticket to the cocktail class, lunch and cocktail pairing dinner is available for $165 plus gratuities.
