A man found lying unresponsive in the street after a suspected early morning hit-and-run accident, was rushed to hospital with head and facial injuries.

Police say he was having “difficulty breathing” when first responders arrived at the scene around 3:15am, just west of the junction on North Shore Road and Trinity Church Road in Hamilton Parish.

A police spokesman said: “Upon arrival officers found the person, a 30-year-old male, remained unresponsive.

“He bore head and facial injuries and was having difficulty breathing.

“He was transported to hospital by ambulance.

“It is believed the male may have been the victim of a hit-and-run collision.”
