A young man listed as having no fixed abode, was formally charged in Magistrates’ Court with causing the death of another man by reckless driving.
Christian Sousa-Matias, 23, denied the charge stemming from the death of Allen Trott, 46.
Mr Trott died following a motorcycle crash near the junction of South Road and Dunscombe Road in Warwick in September, 2021.
Technically, Magistrate Craig Attridge adjourned the case until January 30 and released Sousa-Matias on $5,000 bail.
But Matias was already on remand since November, after he admitted damaging property at the Hamilton Police Station.
