A 34-year-old Smith’s Parish man has denied that he caused grievous bodily harm to his estranged wife.

Dwayne Musson is alleged to have fractured the victim’s left forearm last Saturday (April 18).

He also denied that he threatened her on the same day and that he breached the shelter in place regulations by having another person in his home.

Prosecutors told the court that the defendant told his wife: “I will f****ing kill you.”

The court heard that couple were separated before the alleged incident, but were living together over the shelter in place period,

Lawyer Charles Richardson, who appeared for Mr Musson said his wife had since left the house.

Magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case until May 4.

Musson was released on $4,000 bail, with order to have no contact with his wife in the interim.
