A 33-year-old Pembroke man was formally charged in Magistrates’ Court today with trespassing at the private residence of a woman and attempting to harm her with a knife.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was further charged with intruding on a girl’s privacy in March.

He was not required to enter a plea to the attempted injury charge, which is indictable and must be dealt with in the Supreme Court, during the next arraignment session on June 1.

That incident was said to have occurred in October last year.

He denied the charge of intruding on the girl’s privacy, which will come up again for mention in Magistrates’ Court on May 24.

Senior Magistrate Maxanne Anderson remanded the accused into custody.
