Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe today released a 25-year-old St George’s man who was formally charged this morning with the murder of Ronniko  Burchall on $30,000 with a like surety.

Burchall was gunned down outside St David’s Cricket Club at a Christmas party back in 2018.

Taaj Muhammad of 3 Anchorage Lane, was not required to enter pleas to two indictable offences – unlawfully killing Mr Burchall and using a firearm to commit an indictable offence.

Despite the gravity of the offences, he was released on bail with orders to report to the Hamilton Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 6am and 6pm.

He will also be fitted with an electronic monitoring device (EMD) and abide by a nighttime curfew period from 10pm to 6am.

The case was set down for arraignment in the Supreme Court during the monthly arraignment session in September.
