A 22-year-old man was today formally charged in Magistrates’ Court in connection with that shooting on Middle Road in Warwick last Friday, that occurred in broad daylight.
Daneko Cann-Hayward, was not required to enter a plea to a charge of robbery and using a firearm, as the indicatable offences will go before a judge and jury of his peers in the Supreme Court.
The offences are alleged to have been committed during the robbery of another man.
The defendant appeared at an online virtual hearing of the court proceedings, held via the Zoom app.
He was remanded in custody by Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo until June 1.
