A 64-year-old male tourist riding a livery cycle with a pillion passenger, is in the hospital with serious head injuries classified as life-threatening.

Police and other first responders attended the report of the collision on St David’s Road near Stokes Point around 5:30pm this evening (Wednesday).

A police spokesman said, the rider was travelling west on St David’s Road when he “lost control of his livery  cycle and collided with a 16-year-old male auxiliary bike rider travelling in the opposite direction”.

“Both the  female pillion passenger and the male rider of the motorcycle are presently being treated for injuries that do not appear to be life threatening,” he added.

The scene was scene is being processed by the relevant police officers as another road traffic accident investigation gets underway.
