News Release: Hamilton, Bermuda – Members of Bermuda’s creative community recently celebrated the website launch of The Creative Catalogue, with music, spoken word, design, dance, art displays and more.
The event, held last Friday (May 31), hosted by the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs at the Blue Waters Angler’s Club, showcased some of Bermuda’s top artists and next generation of talent.
The aim of the Creative Catalogue or Creatives.BM is to provide an online forum to promote local artists while simultaneously offering a space for creative collaboration.
Some of the artists featured on the evening were Brixx, Mugzyddancer, Imari, Alan Smith, Live Wires and Shine Hayward.
Minister of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports, Lovitta Foggo, attended last Friday’s event to take in the entertainment and support the local talent.
Following the event Minister Foggo said: “Bermuda has some incredibly talented individuals in the arts, music, dance and so many other areas. Creatives.BM is a one stop area where Bermuda’s artistic community can come together, create a profile, represent themselves and partner with other artists. We want to provide as much support as we can to our Bermudian talent. This site is free for those who wish to sign up and we will be engaging with the Creatives who have a published profile in the future.”
Interested individuals can visit www.creatives.bm, and start a profile. The site is designed to be mobile friendly and those who may not have access to a computer, laptop or tablet, are encouraged to use the mobile access.
