Bermudian footballer Justin Donawa has been signed by the Altrincham Football Club in Greater Manchester, England.
A club spokesperson said: “Hot on the heels of bringing one electrifying winger to the club, Altrincham have signed another flying winger as Bermudian international Justin Donawa joins the club.
“The right-sided speed merchant has spent over two seasons at Solihull Moors, including a goal at The J Davidson in October 2021, following a spell with Darlington.
“After a period on the sidelines through injury at Solihull, Donawa returned to full fitness for the second half of last season and produced some outstanding performances for the Moors.”
Club Manager Phil Parkinson added: “I’m very pleased to welcome Bermudian international winger Justin Donawa to Altrincham Football Club.
“We identified that we needed to add pace to our frontline, JD certainly gives us that. But he is definitely not just a player who relies on his pace, he’s been well educated and coached.
“I think he’ll suit the way we work and play. He’s now got a decent amount of experience at this level and higher with his international exploits.
“He’s very versatile which is also extremely important with us operating with a smaller squad. He can play right-wing, right wing-back and right-back….it is rare for a winger to be so reliable defensively as well as being a threat going forward.
“Like all the players we’ve signed this summer, he’s a great age with a point to prove in the prime of his career. He’s got so much potential and I don’t think he’s demonstrated it fully yet but we’re confident we can help him get there.
“JD will be a player who will get the fans on the edge of their seats and fill them with belief he’ll create something every time he’s involved in the play.”
