Meetings were held this week between Department of Education representatives and the Bermuda Union of Teachers (BUT) Executive in relation to matters pertaining to student progress reports.  The meetings were facilitated by a Labour Relations Manager from the Ministry of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports.

During the meetings, a request was made by the BUT Executive to extend the deadline by one week for providing parents with progress reports, from 8 March, 2019 to 15 March, 2019.  The Department of Education agreed to honor the request of the BUT Executive.

Parents can be assured that both the BUT and the Department of Education will continue to work together to deliver student progress reports by Friday, 15 March 2019.
