News Release: Hamilton, Bermuda – The 2020 professional development calendar has been announced by the Institute Directors in Bermuda.
The programmess include Certificate in Company Direction modules Finance for Non-Finance Directors, Leadership for Directors, Role of the Director and the Board (International) and Strategy for Directors, and the Diploma in Company Direction: Developing Board Performance.
IoD Chair, Rochelle Simons said: “Directorship is a skilled, demanding and challenging profession.
“To be effective, directors require a combination of knowledge and a set of capabilities that enable leadership through judgement, reasoning, a strategic mindset and the ability to analyse and challenge the information or decisions with which boards are frequently confronted.
“The IoD professional development programme aims to develop these attributes by helping directors to develop their skill, knowledge, professional competence and integrity, and by promoting the practice of good corporate governance.”
