News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda – The Ministry of Home Affairs has been advised of a sunken vessel in Flatts.
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has been in contact with the owner of the boat. Attempts have been made by a private contractor to refloat the vessel but unfortunately, due to an equipment malfunction, the attempts were not successful.
New flotations are in transit for deployment. In the meantime, the Department has directed that action be taken to ensure that there is not further fuel loss until such time as the private vessel can be refloated.
