A prominent surgeon, who has practised in the UK for the past 30 years, has joined the team at the Brown-Darrell Clinic.
Dr Abdussalam Musbahi, who specialises in kidney, prostate and urinary tract disorders, has also served as a senior consultant in Qatar, Libya and Britain.
In addition to publishing medical papers, he has delivered lectures worldwide, and has worked extensively on the treatment of urinary stones and on the management of urinary incontinence in women, including Botox injections.
In 2008, Dr Musbahi was asked by the Government of Qatar to establish a urology department at the new AlAhli hospital in Doha.
A spokesperson for the Brown-Darrell Clinic noted that his arrival on the island comes at a time when many residents travel abroad for procedures that he can perform locally.
His appointment to join the local team came after a five-year global search.
Executive Chairman, Dr Ewart Brown described his latest team member as “a very skillful surgeon”, who represents exactly “what Bermudians deserve”.
