FreshTV, the channel that celebrates everything local will launch a new reality show this summer, featuring “anyone with a passion for cooking”, with chefs across the island.
The show, entitled “Chop Dat Plate!” goes into production in June and as of today, through to May 4 they’re calling for participants to get on board to be contestants who will work alongside professional chefs for the series.
In a statement released last night, a spokesman said: “Everyone loves to eat well, Bermudians are no exception.”
“Live auditions take place the next week and shooting starts on or about June 7.

This time we’re throwing open the doors of all our participating restaurants to offer up their competition recipes as a special offer the week of their episode. This will create not only buzz but a one-off dining experience for their guests.
“A Made-For-TV-Event; Fresh TV is bringing a Food Competition series to screens in a series of cook-offs on a weekly basis that raises the bar of culinary skills in an entertaining visual feast.

“Every week we’ll be featuring two teams battling head-to-head for the best 3-course meal, glory and the grand final honours of cash and prizes.”
The show will be hosted by Elmore Warren and Livio Ferigo, the Executive Chef at Bella Vista.
