The Department of Education has advised that Francis Patton Primary School and Gilbert Institute will open as usual on Wednesday morning, after students and staff were released early on Tuesday due to a power outage at each school.
Students and staff at Francis Patton were released at 3pm.
A spokesperson said: “The school Principal, staff, and parents were informed of the closure, and the school executed protocols to dismiss students under the direction of the Department of Education.
“Earlier today (Tuesday), Gilbert Institute was also closed due to a power outage.”
The Department of Education noted that both schools will be open on Wednesday.
