A fourth man was formally charged in Magistrates’ Court this morning, with the murder of 19-year-old Letrae Doeman, who was gunned down while riding his motorcycle in Flatts in Smith’s Parish.
Aaron Perinchief, 27, was charged with murder and using a firearm to commit an indictable offence – namely murder – on July 1.
He was not required to enter a plea as the case will go to the Supreme Court, before a judge and jury.
The Crown contends that the Pembroke resident acted alongside Quazori Brangman, 22, Jukai Burgess, 22, and Nasaje Anderson, 25. They were formally charged last week with the same offences.
All four defendants were scheduled to appear during the September arraignment session.
Officers attended the scene after several reports of gunshots in the area of Paradise Lane and Middle Road in Smith’s around 1:10am on July 1.
On arrival, they found the victim in an unresponsive state with multiple gunshot wounds about the body.
A second man was also injured and treated for a gunshot wound to his arm.
A spokesman said shortly after the shooting that “both men were reportedly travelling west on a motorcycle, when the suspects – who were said to have been travelling in the same direction, also on a motorcycle – began shooting at them”.
“The scene was processed by forensics officers and a number of spent shells were recovered.”
