The first of four people arrested in connection with that disturbance at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club on Wednesday night (June 26) were formally charged in Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Tschana Wade, 35, of Sandys, who is also a member of Bermuda’s women’s national team entered a not guilty plea on a charge of assualt on a police officer.
Makhail Saltus, 25, also from Sandys, denied three charges of assault on a police officer.
The court heard that Ms Wade allegedly hit an officer on the back of his neck. Mr Saltus is alleged to have thrown an “unknown liquid” at three police officers.
Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe released both defendants on $2,000 bail. The case was adjourned until July 29.
