A former OBA government Minister was today formally charged in Magistrates’ Court with injuring a woman by driving dangerously.
Leah Scott, 63, of Sandys, denied the charge involving an incident which is alleged to have occurred in September last year on Somerset Road.
The alleged victim is Kylah Stowe.
Senior Magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case until January 16 and released Ms Scott on $3,000 bail.
The defendant represented Southampton East Central in 2012 and served as a Minister without Portfolio and as a Junior Minister for Education under the one-term One Bermuda Alliance Government.
As Deputy Opposition Leader in 2018, she lost her seat to the Progressive Labour Party’s Jason Wade in 2020.
