News Release: Hamilton, Bermuda – The Family Centre Cup Match ribbon pinning tradition at Cabinet continued with the pinning of both Somerset and St George’s ribbons on Premier David Burt this week in the lead up to the 2019 Annual Cup Match Classic.
Martha Dismont, Executive Director of the centre was accompanied by Jordon DeSilva, Somerset Cricket Club’s Team Captain and Neil Paynter, President of St George’s Cricket Club (standing in for Lionel Cann, St George’s Cricket Team Captain).
Mr Cann is currently off island.
On receiving the ribbons put out annually as a fundraiser for the centre’s cause, Premier Burt said: ““I want to thank all of the volunteers and staff at the Family Centre for their hard work and wish them a Happy Cup Match.”
The countdown to the Cup Match 2019 and preparations for the two-day classic at Wellington Oval in St George’s continues.
