Following an application submitted back in April, the Bermuda Entertainment Union supports the recent decision to allow
reggae artist Buju Banton to perform in Bermuda in August.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the union also “encouraged the public” to support the concert.
A spokeswoman said: “We were satisfied with the information received, which included confirmation that local artists would be included on the bill, along with payment of the required traveller’s dues.
“We had no problem then and have no problem today with Mr Banton performing here.”
The concert will be held on August 17 at the National Stadium.
Local artists scheduled to perform include DJ Chubb, Jesse Seymour and Live Wires.
