The deadline for applications to qualify for donations from the 2020 End-to-End event has been extended due to Hurricane Humberto and the recent spate of storms in the Atlantic.

The original deadline was Monday, September 30, at 5pm, but that has been extended to October 4, at 5pm.

Anne Mello, the End-to-End Board Chair, said: “With so much disruption and with so many people suffering damage we thought it only right that this deadline was extended.”

The focus is on the Bermuda Family and applications are being sought from charities that will address seniors basic needs and support services; youth enrichment opportunities to help overcome negative social issues and families support services for physical and emotional trauma and health.

This year, four charities each received an unexpected bonus after the event raised an extra $60,000. WindReach, Age Concern, Friends of Hospice and Raleigh Bermuda each received a check for $45,000 – $15,000 more than originally anticipated.
