The Department of Public Transportation (DPT) has confirmed the “interruption  in the public bus service this morning due to industrial action taken by the Supervisors”.

Countless would-be commuters were left stranded this morning waiting for buses that never came and the Hamilton bus terminal was literally empty this morning as a result of a dispute said to be caused by the ongoing lack of buses.

Still no official word from the Bermuda Public Services Union that represents the DPT Supervisors.

But according to the DPT: “The Bermuda Public Services Union and the Supervisors are currently in discussion with Management of DPT.

“The Department apologies for any inconveniences caused by the disruption. An update will be provided before noon today.”

No word yet on when, or whether or not the service will resume later today.
