The Parliamentary Registry Office today announced that Mr David Chew has been declared the winner for the extraordinary municipal election that was scheduled to take place today for the seat of Municipal Residents’ Councillor for the Corporation of St George’s.

The election was cancelled when one of the candidates, Mr MacLaren Smith withdrew his nomination, leaving only one candidate.

Mr Chew was officially announced as the winner today (October 17), in accordance with the Parliamentary Election Act 1978, as modified by the Municipalities (Election) Order 2011.
