Plans to install new sewage and water mains to link St George’s and St David’s, including the new St Regis hotel project have been submitted for consideration of the Development Applications Board.
The application by the Bermuda Land Development Company, was submitted to the Department of Planning this month.
The proposal includes the installation of a sewer main, a drinking water main, a reclaimed water main and a spare main.
The pipes would run from St George’s Island to St David’s Island at Stokes Point.
The pipe network would be covered and ballasted with precast concrete and connected to valve vaults, to be created as part of a separate tendering process.
The developers urged the board to make this application a high priority to facilitate other parts of the project to be put out to tenders soon, with and “indication” of what decision was pending.
