A vacant building that used to house a popular restaurant and other businesses looks set to be transformed into a new parking lot on the outskirts of the City of Hamilton.

Plans submitted by the owners of the Outerbridge Building located at 75 Pitts Bay Road, to the Development Applications Board (DAB), call for the demolition of the building.

The proposed parking lot would be ground-level with 27 spaces for cars and seven bikes.

The Outerbridge building was built in the 1950s.

Tenants were advised back in 2022 that they would need to vacate the premises.
