New York Daily News: BROOKLYN – A crazed former lover chucked a chair through the glass door of a Brooklyn restaurant before stabbing his ex-girlfriend working inside, cops said Wednesday.

The suspect is being sought as his ex recovers.

Rakien Figueroa threw a chair through the front door of CAVA on Adams St. near Fulton St in Downtown Brooklyn about 7:50am Tuesday, according to cops. The Mediterranean eatery had not yet opened for the day.

He then stepped through the shattered doorway and attacked his 39-year-old ex-girlfriend, stabbing her multiple times before running off.

Medics rushed the woman to an area hospital, where she is expected to recover.

She immediately identified Figueroa as her attacker, cops said. The two had been arguing for a long time but nothing this violent had happened before, she told cops.

Cops released images of Figueroa on Wednesday and asked for the public’s help tracking him down.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
