Postal workers employed at the Somerset branch at Mangrove Bay were notified that as of today, the post office in Sandys will be closed for the next 14 days, after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
Bermuda Real understands that the staff were informed of the closure yesterday (March 31).
Area residents with mailboxes at the west end facility still have access to their mail.
No official signs were posted at the entrance as of 2pm today, leaving several people wondering why the doors were closed during the usual business hours.
