As of next week there will only be one flight to and from Bermuda to London per week – a further cut after British Airways reduced their weekly flights down to twice a week.
According to the airline’s website, flights will arrive in Bermuda from Gatwick on Thursdays and return to the UK on Fridays.
All other flights were listed as cancelled on Wednesday (Jan 20).
A BA spokesperson added: “Like other airlines, due to the current Coronavirus pandemic and global travel restrictions we are operating a reduced and dynamic schedule.
“Our focus is on keeping crucial air links open – transporting vital goods and ensuring people who are permitted to travel can continue to do so safely.
We are contacting customers whose flights are cancelled to offer options including a full refund.”
Passengers were also urged to check for the latest travel advice by the UK Government on gov.uk and their flight information on ba.com.
This latest cut is one of several implemented by commercial airlines as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Flights to and from Bermuda to Toronto have been grounded until April.
