News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda – Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 2,511 test results, and 60 were positive for the coronavirus.

Forty-two (42) of the new cases are classified as imported. 

The additional 18 new cases are classified as either local transmission (8) or under investigation (10). 

Additionally, there were 69 recoveries and 0 deaths.

There are 66 active cases, of which:

  • 64 are under public health monitoring; and
  • 2 are in hospital with 0 in intensive care

Since March 2020, Bermuda has recorded 18,280 coronavirus cases, out of which 18,066 have recovered, and sadly there have been 148 coronavirus-related deaths.

The source of all active cases is as follows:

·       43 are Imported

·       11 are classified as local transmission

·       12 are Under Investigation

The source of all confirmed cases is as follows:

·       4,172 are Imported

·       14,070 are classified as local transmission of which:

o   5,955 are Local transmission with known contact/source and

o   8,115 are Local transmission with an unknown contact/source

·       38 are Under Investigation

The Minister of Health, Kim Wilson said: “We continue to encourage vigilance as we begin to enter into the fall and winter months. As we continue to move beyond the pandemic, I wish to take this opportunity to advise that these coronavirus updates will become more infrequent, as we look to issue these updates every other week. And after November 30, 2022 following the end of the Public Health Emergency, we expect to cease issuing these updates. The public will be able to source coronavirus updates from www.gov.bm as we go forward.”
