It’s countdown time to showtime for Bermuda’s Gombey Warriors, who will be making their debut tonight in San José, Costa Rica, against Haiti, in the Concacaf Gold Cup.
The team will also play group matches against Costa Rica in Frisco,
On June 20 the team moves to Dallas and then on to New Jersey will they will go up against Nicaragua on June 24.
Tonight’s is set to begin at 7pm Bermuda time or 4pm in Costa Rica.
Led by Head Coach Kyle Lightbourne, Bermuda’s 23-player team, headed up by Captain Dante Leverock, ncludes Nahki Wells, Jonte Smith, Dale Eve, Oliver Jalen Harvey, Reggie Lambe, y, Calon Minors, Kacy Milan Butterfield, Roger Lee, Donte Brangman, Jaylon Bather, Lejaun Simmons, Chikosi Basden, Zeiko Lewis, Willie Clemons, Jahquil Hill, Osagi Bascome, Cecoy Robinson, Justin Donawa, Liam Evans, Wendell Tre Ming, Quinaceo Hunt and Marco Warren.
Going into tonight’s game, the head coach says the team is prepared,ready and focused.
David Sabir, General Secretary of the Bermuda Football Association has stated that the biggest contingent of Bermuda’s supporting fans will be out in full force for the final group match against Nicaragua at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey.
The match gets underway at 7pm Bermuda time or 4pm in Costa Rica tonight (June 16) and will be aired on Fox Sports 2, Univision on Cable Channel 32 and streamed live on various sites.
