Police say the 24-year-old employee was in a back office at the Paget resort when he was attacked on Tuesday night.
The intruder entered the room and searched through desk drawers, when his search was interrupted around 9:50am.
“During the struggle, the intruder brandished a knife and cut the male hotel employee’s wrist,” a spokesman said.
He was taken to the hospital’s Emergency Department for treatment and was later discharged. His phone was found later.
The suspect was described as a brown complexioned male, about 6ft 2in tall and weighing about 300 pounds, who was wearing a black Nolan helmet, grey hooded top and dark coloured long pants.
