News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda – Save the Date: following a two-year hiatus, Clarien Bank announced today that the 32nd Annual Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon is scheduled to return on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
The Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon is a community-driven event hosted by Clarien Bank in partnership with the Bermuda Triathlon Association, allowing young athletes to compete in a traditional junior triathlon competition.
Event registration will be announced in May. “The Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon is a beloved event in Bermuda and we are thrilled to welcome back so many young athletes and their families as we continue this time-honoured tradition,” Clarien Bank Chief Digital and Marketing Officer Michael DeCouto commented.
“We celebrate our youth year round through development initiatives and look forward to cheering on our junior triathletes as they return to competition.”
Bermuda Triathlon Association President Sharon Hammond commented: “Our goal is to continue to inspire the junior triathlon spirit in our community, and we encourage children of every ability and experience level to participate. Our team is excited that the event has returned, and we are committed to providing a safe environment for kids to compete, have fun and gain first-hand, junior triathlon experience.”
Are You Ready to Race? Children ages 3 to 15 are invited to compete for a chance to win up to a $1,000 Clarien Iron Kids Bank account. The Junior Triathlon (Ages 7 – 15) Children ages 7-15 swim, bike and run to the finish line.
This competition is open to all children, but veteran youth triathletes often participate. Tiny Tots Race (Ages 3 – 6) This is the last triathlon event of the day, open to children ages 3-6. Tiny Tots must be accompanied by an adult.
