News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda, June 25, 2021 – The City of Hamilton is excited to announce its City-wide scavenger hunt which will take place July 23rd and 24th.
“The City wanted to create a unique COVID-safe experience that will allow participants to have fun while discovering the island’s capital,” explained Senior Events & Marketing Coordinator Allison Tucker.
“The aim is to provide a safe and contactless event that will offer a new and educational experience for the people of Bermuda. We are encouraging residents to come and engage their senses, test their historical trivia, and think outside the box as they discover Hamilton. This event would make a fun family night out, date night or unique team-building activity.”
The hunts will take place in two ‘shifts’ each day on Friday July 23rd and Saturday July 24th. Friday’s hunts are designed for those who are 18 years or older, and Saturday’s hunts are open to all ages. Friday’s hunts will start at 6:00pm & 7:30pm and Saturday’s hunts will start at 2:00pm & 3:30pm. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative team name and best team cheer. A prize for the fastest team will be announced at the completion of each day.
This is a COVID compliant event and has been organized to be as contactless as possible. As a reminder, the COVID-19 protocols of physical distancing and mask-wearing will be enforced. Participants will be required to pre-register online, which will help the City to manage the number of participants as well as allow for the gathering of contact tracing information in advance of the event. There will be no on-site registrations.
Registration for the event is now open and the deadline to sign up is three days prior to the hunt. Teams can sign up here.
Ms Tucker added: “Each hunt has a maximum of 30 teams, so we are encouraging people to register early to secure a spot. We look forward to uncovering the City’s treasures with you!”
The City would like to thank our event sponsors One Communications and Bacardi Group Ltd for their support.
