News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda – City motorists and pedestrians were today encouraged to exercise caution in the areas where road upgrades continue.

A spokesperson said: “The upgrades to the easternmost Front Street traffic junctions continue to progress, according to schedule.

“The upgrades at Bermudiana Road are nearing completion with work slated to start imminently on the northern sidewalk outside Milan Milan and Alexandra Mosher Design Studio, and the junction of Par-la-Ville Road, Point Pleasant Road and Front Street.”

Assistant City Engineer, Charles Waters, said of the project added: “We’re on track as we move eastward with the project. These upgrades are essential to our infrastructure to ensure a high degree of safety and efficiency in Hamilton. The City thanks those merchants and businesses in the affected area for their patience as the works move into their final month of construction.”

“Any impact to traffic flow during construction should remain minimal. Select parking bays will be affected during the project but priority will be placed on maintaining public parking and reducing pedestrian impact.

“Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution in the areas as the work continues. Temporary traffic signal equipment, signage and diversions will remain in place, as needed.”
