News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda – Following the tragic passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the City of Hamilton has offered two tribute locaons for residents and visitors to pay their respects.
The City extends an invite to the public to leave flowers and tributes on the fence area at the Queen Street entrance of Queen Elizabeth Park in acknowledgement of Her Majesty’s passing leading up to and on the day of the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
A portrait of Her Majesty along with a floral arrangement can also be viewed by the public in City Hall foyer during City Hall’s opening hours, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
“We invite and encourage the public to come and pay their respects as the island mourns the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” said Mayor Charles Gosling. “The City is proud to honour and celebrate her life.”
The public is reminded that the Official Book of Condolence is also available for signing at Government House from 10am – 4pm, Monday through Friday, until the day of the funeral.
