The US Centres for Disease Control has increased Bermuda’s COVID-19 risk rating to “Level 3 – high, up from Level 2 – moderate”.

The travel advisory was posted yesterday on the organisation’s website.

The travel advisory said that unvaccinated travellers should avoid the island.

The latest CDC update stated: “Because of the current situation in Bermuda, all travellers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants.

“Travellers should follow recommendations or requirements in Bermuda, including wearing a mask and staying six feet apart from others.”

Health officials are expected to release the island’s latest figures in a Covid-19 update later today.
