Budget day has been set to be delivered by Premier and Minister of Finance, David Burt, on Friday, February 17 at 10am.

Three days after Valentine’s Day, local taxpayers will hear the latest on Bermuda’s multi-billion dollar deficit, and the Government’s fiscal plans for the legislative year ahead.

The Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure 2023 – 2024 “outlines the allocated funds for each Government department and is followed by the Opposition’s formal Budget Reply and the General Economic Debate on Friday, February 24th”.

“Thereafter the House and then the Senate will consider various departments, debating the estimates of revenue and expenditure in a debate schedule determined by the Opposition. The Budget will be broadcast live on Facebook, YouTube and CITV,” a spokesperson said.

“The dedicated Ministry of Finance team and I have been working on the 2023-2024 Budget for several months,” said the Premier Burt. “This Budget will outline our continuing path towards economic recovery and focus on our ongoing commitment to providing relief to the hard-working people of Bermuda.”
