The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) today sadly confirmed the sixth death recorded on Bermuda’s roads to date, this year, after a 62-year-old succumbed to serious injuries sutained on Sunday (May 22).

A police spokeswoman confirmed that the death of 52-year-old Robert Hudson, whose tragic loss of life marks Bermuda’s sixth road fatality for 2022,.

“Mr Hudson was fatally injured in a single vehicle collision around 2:45pm, on Sunday, May 22nd.

“Preliminary information suggests he was traveling east along Cut Road near the junction with Floral Lane, St. George’s, when he lost control of his motorcycle causing him to collide with a wall before hitting a parked motorcar,” she added.

“Despite life-saving efforts, Mr Hudson tragically succumbed to his injuries a short time later. 

“An investigation into the circumstances of this fatal collision has commenced and a BPS family liaison officer is providing support to the family at this difficult time.
